and one month he done too many miles. He took the speedo out and rigged it up to an upside down bicycle near the old railway cutting on the Sudbury Road in Long Melford and hand-wound the pedals taking off about a quarter of a mile every three hours.

He did this for three days. It became a bit of focal event for the village. People came down and lit fires and smoked spliffs and brought cups of tea and Campari with Lorraine Chase. Luton Airport.
