times have changed though, there are so many different forms of media now that

probably less people are reading local newspapers.

Here we have 3 or 4 free daily papers which summerise the previous days news, both locally and nationally, people read them on the way to work.... infroming themselves on the important news on the way to work and then looking at the news on the TV in the evening for more in depth stuff.
