Any “armchair” coffee experts on here?

I’ve got an Aeropress which makes a decent cup of coffee.

To date I’ve only used pre-ground coffee:

1) Is it worth buying beans and grinding myself? If so, any recommendations for beans and decent suppliers?
2) Would a cheap hand grinder do the job? Either way, any recommendations?
