I know this will get some groans from the far lefties and far righties on the board...

But I saw an interesting interview with Tony Blair the other day where he talked about ideology without power being meaningless.
Winning the center left and center right is key to getting elected with a decent majority.
Once in power you then have a chance to make effects that are long lasting.
He noted the legalizing of same sex marriage and the minimum wage as two examples of ideas thats were in the past on the opposite sides of the political divide but are now accepted across the political spectrum.

The bottom line is the current goverment is a complete s**t show yet Corbyn is even more unpopular.....and the radicals are trying to oust more moderate people like Tom Watson.

A more moderate/centerist Labour party would be crushing in the polls.

The UK needs a new hero that people can get behind.....just not seeing anyone out there.
