as well as plenty of glory. The sponsors of each team - and it's a real team sport - are really after stage wins (plus a few who've also got contenders for the overall win). The picture of Cavendish crossing the line - with sponsors' logos to the fore - will be plastered on papers across Europe (and further afield) tomorrow.

So big cash for Cavendish and his team. And he'll be the biggest earning sprinter next year. (And the sprinters are the glamour boys of the sport, so get very well rewarded.)
