Lost of details - what type of connection do you use to connect the PC to the router - wireless, ethernet, USB?
Is it XP home or XP pro?
Just to confirm - there are two network interfaces on your PC? One you use to connect the PC to the router, and one to the xbox?
Under the network settings for the 'to router' interface, what options do you have under the 'advanced' tab?
