On one of those computer sites

I am told

For you guys having problems here all you gotta do is change the routers ip address to 192.168.1.1 so it will start assigning ips based off this new ip and it wont conflict with the laptops shared ip which most of the time is 192.168.0.1

God knows what that means and whether it will mess up my other internet connections. Maybe I should just spend the £60 and be done with it.
