never been to toulouse. Nearest are i've visited is carcassonne, which is luvverly. In general the way i do things in the south of france is just drive around and find somewhere nice with a terrasse in a little village in the middle of nowhere and ask the waitress for 'un plat typique'. Don't bother with all that map and guide book business, otherwise you'll just be following other brits around all holiday.
