Where do we go now?
I've got mixed feelings after all of todays' goings on to be honest.
I think most of us realised that the writing was on the wall a few weeks ago when Earnie said he was keen to play in the Premiership sooner rather than later. I also felt that, with the club making bids for both Sharp and Eastwood, the sale of Earnie was all the more likely to happen.
Whilst he was never a team player, you couldn't fault his goal-scoring record and he will be difficult to replace. However, we really do need to sign another striker and preferably a target man in a similar mould to Iwan (what would we give for a younger version of him now?)
I think we have to face facts - we won't be signing Sharp or Eastwood. Who else is out there who we can afford and wants to come to NCFC? No doubt it will be someone from north of the border; is Riordan still an option?
Let's hope the money is put to good use and that PG is successful in bringing in a decent centre-back and midfielder.
All the best,
Andrew
