Agreed.

I still think today can be seen as a very steep and harsh learning curve though.

Terrible though they were, today's events are on nowhere near the awful scale of what people are going through in other parts of the world, as Jono has mentioned.

I think today will serve as a kick in the behind to make the changes, for the good of the world.
