They may be wrong. However -
my mother has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. She has always belived in God and been a regular church goer. The one thing that seems to be helping her cope is the definite knowledge that she is going to join my dad. Although it's baloney, it certainly seems to be a comfort. I sometimes wonder if it wouldn't be rather nice to be able to belive in something smilar.
