Reading Dawkin's The God Delusion, he quotes the results of a statistical survey done on the barriers that would prevent US citizens voting for presidential candidates.
Asked each person if a candidate that they would normally vote for was black or homosexual or one of a number of other things would they still vote for them.
Turns out the biggest barrier is atheism.
