Doncaster says

the oversight is lacking in other cases so we have to accept that he is. In respect of Hughes had Worthington said to the board that he was so similar to Jarrett who had just been signed that the two could not play in the same side then - would the board not have questioned whether that was wise use of funds? And you mentioned the scouting system - do the board see the scouting reports? Given that they are produced by experts that they employ I think they should. What on earth did the scouting report on Robinson say?
The party line at the moment seems to be that the board backed Worthington's judgement absolutely, and that Worthington f**ked f**ked up and that therefore continuing the "blame game" is unhelpful. I disagree with that. Firstly the employees that scouted Thorne, Robinson etc are still on board. Secondly the board has not changed any of its policies - the end result will be the same.
