so what?

signings aren't an end in themselves. They are simply part of the process of creating as good a team as possible with the resources available. I don't care whether the club makes 50 signings or zero as long as the end result is a decent team playing decent football. Since at the moment we have that then the club has done a good job in the transfer market (even if most of it was last year). The one person we actually have bought seems so far to be the key missing piece that we were looking for.
