When will Sunderland appoint a new manager???

I laid Martin O'Neill (so to speak) on Betfair but I don't get any cash until they appoint a new manager - bloody hurry up! They haven't had a manager since the 6th March. Also, why is Sam Allardyce linked so heavily with the job? Why leave an edge-of-Europe Premiership club for a poor Championship club?
