i went up b&q (norwich sud) about ten days ago and when i got back to my car a little bloke in hi viz wth a body camera shuffles up and says "in footcher, can you please make sure you park within the bay?". no worries mate sorry bout that but there was a ruddy great big van blocking the bay when i got here.
a few days later.....
f**king parking ticket for £120 hits the doormat reduced to £60 if paid in so many days with a picture of my car as "evidence". another key bit of "evidence" was you couln't see the white lines in the bay as they had practically faded away. quick google says firs port of call is go to b and q and ask the store manager if he can rescind the ticket but she says she can only do that if people overstay because they have broken down or had a medical emergency or suchlike. she says "here's what to do, tell them about the van and the faded white lines and tell them you spoke to me and that i agree and have been on to the parking company numerous times to ask them to repaint the lines and you will get off with it".
so i did that and just got an email stating that the fine has been cancelled and the matter is now concluded.
cheers b&q manager lady i'll be popping in tomorrow with a box of chocolates.
top tip, don't park like a t**t in b&q norwich sud or the parking bay stasi will collar you.
