By the way, I can't think of anything more traditionally British than being a place occupied by various competing tribes. The Romans tried to take that from us, and the Anglo-Saxons finally managed in England, and it took a member of a competing tribe to finally stop all our fun. Pretty soon after that we started invading everywhere else so we could compete with their tribes.
