I find it very uncomfortable when I read middle aged men reminding us that

Middle aged men having sex with teenagers of 16 or older is not illegal and therefore not paedophilia.

While legally and technically correct, it’s quite disturbing. Gives me vibes of people thinking it’s fine if they’re a day over 16 but not if a day under, and that’s someone who is only being deterred by law.
