Can't compare for example NFL gameday to an English game

For starters there is no real jeopardy in NFL, if you're the worst then there's no relegation and there's actually a carrot at the end for the worst. The game is also over 3 hours so it's an event.

For a club like Norwich, the majority just want to see a winning team or at the very least being competitive at a Championship level with the occasional flirtation with the top tier for a period.

Most will not be bothered about a Fan Zone with overpriced food and drink, we have plenty of pubs nearby.

If the club said they were making these changes for a season so they could do works to make a smooth transition to redeveloping the city stand then no one would argue. But nothing's been mentioned about the City Stand in all this.

And as last wednesday showed - when it's crap on the pitch, then the attendance dwindles.
