True , but the shirt has the history we all know that

In our club we have our legends.

But if I was to ask name a famous number 9 from Newcastle , or Liverpool , who wore number 7 for Man utd .. I think all could answer.

The shirt and number is the history and legacy. Being 455 will never matter

And it probably works in cricket as theres not the same history in position. Yes someone can be a great opener etc.
Its not the same as an iconic number 9
