legacy numbers...
this is a nice "initiative" from middlesbrough (nicked from cricket?) they have researched and assigned "legacy numbers" to each player in chronological order of club first team debut User Posted Link they now organise little ceremonies and award new players with their legacy number and a certificate usually presented by a former player such as craig hignett here...
