I think we pretty much agree on the "trans women are women" point in that such sloganeering is deeply unhelpful and your post does neatly explain why. It's reductive and does nothing to help either side. Life is shades of grey and nuance, and it's important that we don't boil things down to black and white phrases.
Thanks for the apology too - you're a respected voice on here that carries weight and so it does mean a lot.
