We had to push for 5 months to get our compensation from Tui but that was something they didn't have any option to avoid by EU law because it was related to a delayed flight but they still pushed back about a dozen times, so unless you can prove the holiday was substandard or a health hazard, you will have a battle. No idea really but if ABTA have a free service - ping them to check what they can cover/help with.
