Interestingly other postal services in other countries
subsidise there postal services, we are the only one who are separate from the post office side of the business. Obviously the parcel side will make the most money but we still need someone to deliver the 8 billion letters still posted. What’s actually happening is an asset stripping of the company so it can be split and the parcels side will be sold off for massive profit leaving the loss making letters bit of the business to rot. The letters side will probably end up being bought back by the tax payer.
