it's the indifference that's the killer really.

Suspect that is compounded by the post-pandemic reassessments that people are undergoing too. Hard to invest in things emotionally if there's a lack of connection.

Hard to feel a connection with the current bods as it all seems quite bloodless.

On the plus-side not spending as much time trawling through here, alongside finally succumbing to getting reading specs has properly reignited my reading (always very important to me, but over the past couple of years pretty fatiguing, seeing as I read all day every day for the day job).

Just finished reading "The Anarchy" by Dalrymple for book group - not usually my bag, but found it fascinating and really well written. Also blazed through One Hundred Nights of Hero, that I'd bought for the godkids siblings & thought that was superb.

Julia Copus also curated quite a nice little anthology called Life Support that was nice too.

Looks like I've got a big pile of books coming for Christmas too - so that's all nifty!
