Lightly skimmed it

Bit of a weird non-argument for me. There have definitely been periods in the last 25 years where we were cripplingly poor and where the vitriol against the manager/owners was out of all proportion to where we were at, at the time.

Not sure if it's because I've got detached from it all, but this doesn't (to me) feel like any of those times. We probably do need a shake up, it does look like we're in a transition to a new ownership (one way or another), we're not cripplingly poor, but the direction of travel is concerning.

Everyone seems agreed on the direction of travel not being right, so the debate is now on to the causes: the squad, manager, DoF, Board, owners.

The debate seems more bickery than vitriolic, and that feels like it's down to an underlying sense of missed opportunities rather than imminent club implosion (which, for many sports teams in the current climate is a real concern).

So, yeah - I still think that Dean was the wrong (but not terrible) appointment - I still think that a new manager *could* get the players firing more consistently.

Managing by spreadsheet can be a real positive (see Brentford) but it also needs to be humanised and recognise the art of people management.

The current set up have failed to articulate what they're trying to do, and it appears to me that they have been equally unsuccessful at conveying that to the players. Finding a way to get that right, is the key to us turning things around.

think it'll happen, and under another manager. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
