How many of them do you think are doing electrical engineering degrees? Materials science? I really need to find someone who can optimise the reliability of a sintered nanoparticulate copper power module interconnect. There are no/few qualified staff. All the kids are doing arts subjects. Many engineering departments are closing. Nobody interested. Nobody does STEM. Those who do are studying AI (I don't blame them tbh).

So, to tackle the problem, you need nerds, time, money and materials. So JSO force the gov to supply the cash. They also want the change to happen immediately. It won't. Some realise there may not be enough lithium on the planet for some of the plans envisaged. What about neodymium, cobalt, gallium? Where is that coming from. Then we have the skills shortage.

That Dinorwig power station looks like a solution. 9.1 GWh. Let's build 20 of them. How long will that take? Do we have enough engineers to build 20 simultaneously? How much CO2 will building them release. 200000 tons cement and 4500 tons steel. How much CO2 to produce that?

Because we can only reduce the hydrocarbon dispatchable power by increasing non-hydrocarbon dispatchable power. That gives a timeframe for stopping oil.
