That is just wrong

The current energy crisis is due to dependence on Russian gas. If we had more renewables it would be less of an issue.

European gas storage is around 90% full which is 1/4 of annual consumption. The only country that I am aware of that has closed storage in recent years is the UK. As I’m sure you know, Liz Truss closed Rough in 2017. Centrica are now reopening it, which is good because the UK has 9 days of storage compared to 88 for Germany, 103 days for France and 123 for Netherlands.

France is at risk of power cuts but because over 20 of its nuclear fleet are out of action. Simililarly Sweden has a nuke down until Jan which could create issues. Ireland is at risk (because of gas) and there might be risks to other countries due to lack of imports of either gas or electricity. That is the risk for the UK.
