Housing market will take a battering

Would not be buying a house right now if I were a FTB. That’s the risk when rates drop ridiculously low, people become accustomed to it and don’t take into account any notice of correction with rates rising. This is much more serious than energy bills as little intervention from Government can be made.

Even if you are not a homeowner with a mortgage, the fear is landlords on BTL mortgages will increase their rents.
