Thoughts from the Norfolk Coast...

I've given the Smith and Shakey show a fair crack of the whip, but I think I'm done! Disastrous appointment (IMHO) and I see nothing to suggest "his team" will be any more watchable, or successful than this sows ear which they've managed to fashion from what was a silkyish purse...OK not so much, but at least it looked like a purse, of sorts, not a ragged, torn, threadbare piece of scrappy offcuts.

This season has been a catastrophe, and everyone has now had their say on why, so no point going over it again. However, today was just as awful and embarrassing off the pitch...support was woeful and some of the supposed "black humour" chants were embarrassing. Empty seats all round the ground and several around me in the lower Barclay.

Positives? Well...
A lovely ride to and from the game on the Bittern Line from North Walsham and great to be "home" only an hour and a half after the final whistle.

Nice swim in the sea with the Fenton in the evening sun, even if a tad breezy.

Beautiful sunset over Bacton Gas Terminal.

A week off work, enjoying more such delights.

Roll on next season, but I can't help feeling glum about the coaching team... if they prove me wrong, I'll be really pleased though.
