I’m trying to work out why I’m so down hearted over this

I think it is because Farke epitomised everything I love about the club. He was bighearted, quirky and loved the club and it’s fans. His teams played fantastic football, they were made up of young or unfashionable players and brought joy. He achieved against the odds.

When Lambert left (the last manager I loved!) Several people compared it to being dumped by a girlfriend who was looking for someone better. This helped to put things into context for me. I was wondering what would the analogy be now? For me, it’s equivalent of my dad banishing my fiancé on the grounds that he’s not proved himself to be a very good accountant, he doesn’t make much money, and that’s what’s important. Yet I’m not really that fussed about what kind of accountant he is and anyway, I have faith he will come good. And now he’s been taken away from me. It’s no good my dad telling me there are plenty more fish in the sea and the next one will be able to achieve things my current one can’t. I’m just not ready to believe that yet!
