You can get a replacement screen for £20-40 on Amazon for many laptops

It's not a hard job to replace it, though it is a bit fiddly on some models. You need small screwdrivers and that's it, no specialised equipment, and there's a ton of youpipe vids often for the exact model. Google up replacement screen for XXX type of laptop and you should find what part you need and instructions how to fit it.
