I've prattled on about this on here before but the AZ vaccine is a tried and tested technology while BioNtech and Moderna are brand new tech.

The AZ vaccine is basically a MERS vaccine that had been tested long(er) term but with the genetically modified DNA code altered to match covid rather than MERS.

So I'm not 100% OK with the testing but think on balance it is very much worth me having the AZ vaccine. If you are in a low risk group in the UK, I reckon this is the only option you will have - I doubt you will be given a choice of which vaccine you prefer.
