Right pretty sure its the same situation as my son.

You are eligible to become an Irish citizen as your grandmother was Irish and born in Ireland. You need to go through Foreign Births Registration.

You would also be allowed to follow the same process if your parent was also an Irish citizen that was not born in Ireland (i.e my son could apply either as I am an Irish citizen, or through his late grandad who was born in Ireland).

You need to register as an Irish citizen first, and then apply for a passport. Your parents are irrelevant (so to speak). Costs about €250-300 I think for citizenship, then about €90 for a passport, plus about €10ish per Irish document you may need to obtain. The website for that is very very dodgy looking, but does actually come up with the goods.
