In fact when I had the aforementioned chat with the gaffer, he gave me a sizeable pay rise on the spot. Truth be told, I'm overpaid.

You're probably right about the A levels or the degree thing, too: but what worries me there is that I've never been easy to educate - too much of a smartarse. Talking to people about the NVQs, I get the impression that I could complete them without real effort, which'd give me a cheap qualification that people seem to rate.

Looking at what I've typed, it looks rather lazy of me, and it might be, I suppose............
