I understand that POV.

IMO it is a problem caused by the government not consulting with unions. Up until now, the unions have been really helpful and have ignored potential issues around schools being both open and closed. I said some time ago (not sure if on here) that my fear was that this good will would be lost if there wasn’t genuine collaboration. Unfortunately, that’s the case. HTs now have to find a way to tread a very fine line. My hope is that between now and 1st June they get together and find a way forward.
