Football was never quite as enjoyable when the day didn't involve seeing my dad, either at the match, or in later years stopping off on the way home to see him. Seems that more than football we really miss being with the people that we do football stuff with - and though we can't see some of them ever again, still, memories and all that.
Oh and so pleased to see your news re the Commanding Officer the other night.
