Opinion: A large Tory victory might be the best thing to happen to the Labour party....
Its the Micheal Foot moment.
Maybe a return to more center left politics will put them in a position to be actually electable.
A center left Labour should be crushing right now......
The common thread is that the message is mixed and the policies are pie in the sky.
IMHO the opposition parties are missing the point of democracy.
I think Labour would have gained a lot more traction with voters if they would have said we will honor brexit BUT...we will have another referendum in 12-24 months.
That way you honor the democratic process but you also give people an opportunity for people to change their minds if its not what was promised.
All their blocking in parliament has hurt them a lot with voters. You even hear remainers saying they are voting tory because they want this all over with.
