need the blitz spirit and all that, they’ll be setting up their own deals and those for friends in the vacuum of deregulation before the clarity starts to seep back in a decade or so later.
Common man f**ked but it was so long ago he can’t remember whether he really is f**ked or whether it was actually worse back then like the politicians are telling him.
Country f**ked but again the fog of a decade past skews all the statistics and “the UK has the fastest growing economy in the western world in 2030” when measure against 2029.
Meanwhile the 1% have a few new yachts which they are not based at Skegness marina, and the reassurance that all those deals they set up during the years of non-regulation will continue to run and remain in the shadows, earning them even more millions than they already had, only to be discovered comfortably after they’ve died and passed it on to their families with carefully planned legal constructs.
Or maybe I’m just a conspiracy theorist. If I’m not though I cannot for the life of me see why these people want to brexit at all.
