it'd be far harder to seperate drinking from the football watching experience than it is

gambling. For far more people i'd argue that watching the football is the same as having a drink.

Now for a sport to which gambling is absolutely integral, there's horse racing and dog racing.

Sure you can go along for the social occasion and look at how nicely prepared the horses are. You could follow a trainer and support their yard if they have a local connection. Or you might be a fan of a charismatic jockey and cheer them on in their races.

But would you really?

football isn't there yet, but no doubt about it with their "It matters more when there's money on it" it's where it's heading
