We don't need tainted money to be 17th in the EPL. The revenue streams from being in EPL are vast without the additional drops of shirt sponsorship from companies that actively use football to build habits and addictions that. In occasions ruin lives.

Yes, alcohol can do the same, but brewers and distillers do not use football in the same psychological way to build a seamless acceptance of drinking like betting companies do.

Why not be different? Money is not the overall driver, there has to be some moral stance.

Sad indictment of the times that many are so accepting and willing to make light of those that have concerns (twitter).
