If only going to home games, it’s a bit more expensive, but not earth shatteringly so given the reduction in price of tickets. The extra cost of membership would be covered quickly by the reduced price of home tickets.
The losers are:
1) those that no longer get priority for away tickets but would have done under the old system; and
2) casual fans that only go to a handful of games but a mixture of home and away which now potentially requires £100 of membership. However, for the particularly casual fan, this new system gives an opportunity to go to the most popular away games which wouldn’t have existed under the old system
