I asked last week what the maximum points we would need, taking into account the teaming fixtures of our competitors, in order to guarantee 2nd place.

The answers were pretty much 12 wins out of 13 to guarantee us promotion on the worst case scenario for our competitors results.

Michael Bailey, in point 6 of his 'Six things learned from Bristol City game' says this though....

"I make it 12 games left to play and regardless what anyone else does, eight wins to finish the job."

Which is it? Bearing in mind his "regardless what anyone else does" line.
