Dont be daft

The referendum result has already been overuled by the general election which narrowly returned a government with a manifesto of 'Brexit means Brexit' and a while lot of fudges sitting behind it.

May's vision of Brexit was not on the referendum ballot paper.

May's vision of Brexit was not supported by a majority of the public, but that's UK democracy for you.

If we have another GE it is perfectly democratic for a party to run on a Remain manifesto, and if they can command a majority then that is the democratic will of the UK.

That is the epitomy of UK democracy!

It is sacrosanct that Parliament is not bound by the fecisions of previoys Parliaments. Equally we are not bound to blindly follow the outcome of any given referendum result.

If public sentiment shifts such that another referendum would returns a different vote, then so be it. If it hasn't, it hasn't.

That *is* democracy.
