I think it fits the moneyball approach though

Looking for players that are undervalued for one reason or another but have shown that they can do it a higher level.

In Rhodes' case, hes had one s**t season and Sheff Wed need to get shot. Leitner is another who lost his way and better thing were expected of Tom Trybull.

The fascinating thing about this approach is that it is counter-intuitive. The MO appears to be getting players in with the right attitude and yet we are also looking at players who have dipped for one reason or another because Farke/Webber believe they can be rehabilitated.
