Still a good wedge for use, and much as I want him to stay we all knew this was coming - getting it done now would mean the club had clarity on the financial situation for the rest of the window.

Wait for the queues of morons saying "we should have held out for 30", "no, 40", "well I reckon he's worth at least 50" and the like; the other morons saying "Delia et al will line their pockets with all that, we won't see it" and so on.

I don't like that he's going but he was always going to; this plus Murph plus Marley feels like solid work (yes we do now need to bring some in).
