They basically appear to have 2 gangs of scabby little gangsters

who are having a bit of a turf war. Both seems to be under the control of London drug gangs who are sending young foot soldiers to provincial towns where the drug turf is up for grabs who then assemble little gangs of vulnerable kids who find a "home" in the gangs.

If you look on youtube you can see them doing grime music raps where they are basically calling each other out. The guy who got stabbed a couple of weeks ago seems to have lived in one of the areas so it would not surprise me if this latest stabbing is a revenge job.
