Perhaps it's because I am getting older and looking through rose tinted glasses...it

just appears to be a less pleasant place. I was brought up on a pretty notorious local council estate and never felt threatened or really witnessed the kind of stuff you read about now. Yes I witnessed and was involved in plenty of fights but never saw any weapons used.
