The problem is who do you drop? Wes is a number 10 and Maddison has that nailed down, by far our best player this season. Wes doesn't have the pace to play wide or the hight to be a presence in midfield. We also have to be worried about quotas. Off the bench he has the ability to change games and as he's older he is likely to tire quicker if starting. I love the Irish Messi, but I think it's an end of an era and things have to move on. We can't dwell on the past like another team that need not be mentioned
