I completely agree

although I'm sure they do fully intend to honour it, I would certainly be worried about the ability for it to be repaid if we got relegated. 3.5m for a team adjusting to life in L1 is a pretty huge lump sum to fork out.

Good intentions mean nothing if the capital is not there to pay back. And the track record of this board doesn't inspire much confidence at all. There is surely a reason why banks presumably aren't offering them anywhere near these terms.
